Travis M. Powers is co-founder and Senior Executive Partner of Escendent, LLC, a Chicago-based Human Capital, Management Consulting and Talent Services firm. Travis is responsible for organizational strategy, growth, solution development and succession. He has been instrumental in creating market penetration into diverse sectors, providing thought leadership and strategic direction for client performance including; government, resources (energy & utilities), financial services, health care and transportation industries. His contributions are a direct result of Escendent being recognized for many industry awards including Local IT Firm of the Year and being named among Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies.
Prior to launching Escendent, Travis enjoyed a successful career in financial client management, business development and sales management while working in telecommunications and management consulting; providing both product and service delivery. Mr. Powers currently serves on the Democratic National Finance Committee and has served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (“CMSDC”) as Chair of the MBEIC Advocacy Committee. Travis’ passion for minority business development, advancement and excellence was a key reason he was named 2009 Minority Business Advocate of the Year, by CMSDC. His philanthropic interests include Teen Living Programs, UCAN and Boy Scouts of America to name a few. Mr. Powers received his B.A. from Morehouse College and his M.B.A. from Washington University Olin Business School.
