Robert Kress is the Executive Director of Global IT Audit in Accenture’s Internal Audit organization that supports the $25 billion company and its 250,000 employees working in 52 countries. Reporting to Accenture’s Chief Audit Executive, Mr. Kress has overall responsibility for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on the full range of client facing and internal IT risk to Accenture senior leadership and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Prior to this Mr. Kress was the COO in Accenture’s high performance Internal IT organization responsible for running IT like a business, including IT Strategy, IT Planning, Product and Service Management, IT Risk, Application and Infrastructure Management Operations, Supplier and Contract Management, Audit and IT Policy, Communications, Business Performance, Finance, Human Resources, Deployable Resources and Organizational Development.

He has published two books, Running ITlike a Business, in November 2011, and ITGovernance to Drive High Performance: Lessons from Accenture, in March 2010.

Bob is a member of the Executives Club of Chicago and co-chair of the Technology Committee, i.c.stars Board of Directors, Chicago Mayor’s Council of Technology Advisors, and Chairman of the Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at The University of Iowa.

Mr. Kress holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Iowa.
